In 1996 I was a design intern at Agency.com. I was lucky enough to lead the design of the Lucent.com website. I was given the responsibility of creating the homepage, and following page designs. Below is a sample of the news section, investor relations page. Page weight was a major concern at the time, we designed the left side as a repeating background pattern, and created many reusable elements that would cache.
